Situated on the banks of the Garonne, this cultural site allows you to discover or rediscover a part of the history of the town of Cazères-sur-Garonne (31), which, until the 19th century, was the capital of the Garonne's inland waterways, where most of the boats sailing on the river were built.

-THE MEDIEVAL VILLAGE of Rieux-Volvestre

was awarded the label of "the most beautiful detours in France".

Other elements, such as the former seminary and its pleasant garden, the lapidary museum, the jacquard space, the hall, the prisons, the bishopric, the Valtan tower, the bridges or the architectural details of the facades, contribute to make Rieux-Volvestre an interesting stopover for lovers of old stones.

Classified as a Historic Monument since 1942, the Mas-d'Azil Cave is recognized as an exceptional site by its impressive geology and archaeological fame.

Located upstream from the village, the Grotte du Mas-d'Azil is above all an exceptional site with a majestic porch 70 meters high, a road and a river that crosses it. But, it is also an exceptional site for the treasures it has delivered. Its archaeological fame makes it one of the major sites that even gave its name to a period of Prehistory: the Azilien.
